Go Ring Shopping

Of all the dates that I’ve been on with my husband, this has been one of my favorites.  It was actually just part of a date and totally spontaneous, but a blast.  My husband and I were walking through the mall after we had eaten and we went past a couple of jewelry shops.  We decided that we were going to go into one and pretend we were engaged so we (I) could try on rings.
It was fun to revert back to that time in our relationship.  Although we weren’t going to buy anything, it was fun to talk to the salesman about our upcoming wedding and how we had met.  We took turns picking out different rings.  A lot of the rings we picked to try on we never would have seriously thought about when we were engaged.
Relationship reconnection – Think about the day that you got engaged.  Talk about that experience and what you especially loved about it.  Do you remember some of the things that were said?  Do you remember what you were thinking about?  My husband proposed in a field and I was barefoot and that was all I could focus on – “Why are we out here?  I don’t even have shoes on.”

Happy dating!
